1. Acceptance

By accessing TheToolbox.online you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Content & Accuracy

All content on TheToolbox.online is provided for informational purposes only. Tool reviews, ratings, and recommendations reflect our honest opinions based on testing. We make no guarantees that any tool will meet your specific needs. Pricing, features, and availability of third-party tools can change — always verify directly with the provider before purchasing.

3. Free Website Build Service

We offer to build a free 5-page website, plus Google Business Profile setup, for eligible small businesses. By applying for this service you agree to the following:

• You will provide accurate business information, content, and any photos required to complete the build.
• We reserve the right to decline any application at our discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.
• The completed website is handed over to you in full. You are responsible for hosting, domain registration, and any ongoing costs associated with keeping the site live.
• We make no guarantee of search engine rankings, traffic, or business outcomes resulting from the website.
• The build is provided free of charge. We offer optional paid maintenance and hosting management services separately — these are never a condition of receiving the free build.
• We are not liable for any loss of business or revenue arising from downtime, errors, or issues with your website after handover.
• Portfolio use: By accepting the free build you expressly grant The Toolbox the right to display your completed website and any digital tools we build for you — including screenshots, links, and descriptions of the work — in our portfolio, on our website, and in our marketing materials. If you wish to opt out of portfolio display, notify us in writing before handover.
• Reuse of our work: Because the free build uses our standard design and code, the code, structure, design, and functionality of a free website remain the intellectual property of The Toolbox. We expressly retain the right to build, adapt, and deliver similar or identical websites and tools to other clients. Your specific business content — including your business name, written copy, photographs, and branding — belongs entirely to you.

4. Custom Websites and Custom Modifications

Where we build a fully custom website or carry out custom modifications to a website we have previously built for you — whether to the free build or otherwise — the following applies:

• The completed custom website, including any custom-built features, bespoke design, and custom code created specifically for you, is your exclusive property on handover.
• We will not sell, license, or deliver that custom work — or any substantially similar version of it — to any other client.
• Equally, custom work we have built for other clients is their exclusive property and will not be sold or delivered to you.
• Custom work is scoped, priced, and agreed in writing before any work begins. A separate service agreement will be provided at the time of engagement.
• Portfolio use of custom work is subject to your approval. We will ask before featuring custom websites in our marketing materials.

5. Paid Services

We offer optional paid services including ongoing website maintenance and managed hosting. These are entirely separate from and independent of the free website build. Pricing and scope are agreed in writing before any paid work begins. Paid services are governed by a separate service agreement provided at the time of engagement.

6. No Professional Advice

Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, accounting, or professional business advice. Content is general in nature. Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.

7. Intellectual Property

All original content on TheToolbox.online — including text, code snippets, and design — is owned by TheToolbox.online. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute our content without written permission. Tool names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Free website builds: The code, design, structure, and functionality of a free standard website build remain the intellectual property of The Toolbox. We retain the right to reuse, adapt, and deliver similar or identical work to other clients. Your business content (copy, photos, branding) is yours.

Custom websites and modifications: Where custom work is commissioned and paid for, the custom-built elements become your exclusive property on handover. We will not sell or deliver that specific custom work to any other client, and we will not sell another client's custom work to you.

Portfolio rights: For free builds, you grant us the right to display the completed work in our portfolio and marketing materials as a condition of the service. For custom work, we will seek your approval before featuring it publicly.

8. Third-Party Sites

We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party website linked from this site. Links are provided as a convenience and do not constitute endorsement beyond our published reviews.

9. Limitation of Liability

TheToolbox.online is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or any linked third-party service.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

11. Changes

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date will reflect changes. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
